to Nuclear Abolition Campaigns
Getting There from Here:
The Campaign
Because of the necessity to inform Americans
and their leaders of this situation and to share the solutions,
about 150 organizations have signed on to a Carbon-Free, Nuclear-Free
Statement of Principles, and around 40 of these have come together
to create a campaign for a Carbon-Free, Nuclear-Free (CFNF) future.
The campaign seeks to garner a U.S. commitment to a carbon-free,
nuclear-free energy system and policies that would bring it about
by the middle of this century. Organizations have formed a CFNF
Alliance to promote a carbon-free nuclear-free future for the U.S.
by educating and mobilizing the public, business leaders and policy
makers.
Joining the Alliance
The only requirement for Alliance membership
is signing the statement of principles, which you have already done
(national Peace Action has, but we are encouraging chapters and
affiliates to do so as well). Membership means agreement to the
pledge in principle, and participating in activities as appropriate.
For more information on the Roadmap, joining the Alliance, or to
schedule a briefing with the book’s author, please contact

We must act now to prevent catastrophic global warming. In this
moment, we are deciding what the world we want to live in looks
like. Carbon-free, nuclear-free is offering a map for how to act—not
just react—to create a world that is free of fossil fuels
and nuclear energy. Over the last year, carbon-free, nuclear-free
has grown and evolved beyond our expectations. People are seizing
CFNF because it is a concrete plan for the new world we want to
live in, energized by the sun and the wind instead of cancer-causing
coal and nuclear power. We hope you will join us.
