March on Washington!
Join us in D.C. on January 27th to tell the new Congress to end the war!
On Saturday hundreds of thousands of activists from around the country will convene to show their immense opposition to the war on Iraq. Then on Monday we will be taking that message inside the halls of Congress as we meet with our members and push them to act to end the war now.
Come for Saturday, stay till Monday!
During the weekend SPAN, with the National Youth and Student Peace Coalition, will be hosting different events for youth and students in DC. The weekend will kick off with a rally and march on Saturday Jan. 27th. Sunday the 28th there will an all day lobbying training and strategy sessions hosted by different groups. On Monday Jan. 29th, we will be hitting the halls of Congress to greet and lobby the newly elected Congress.
But what if you and your friends don't have the resources to make it all the way to D.C. and there don't seem to be any buses or rides coming from your area? SPAN has some travel scholarships to help folks get here. You can request some funding to help with travel here.
